Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko takes small amounts of food to maintain her condition for attending court. Elizaveta Glinka, a member of the Presidential Human Rights Council, who visited the arrested woman in a pre-trial detention center on Friday, told RIA Novosti.

“The condition is the same. He eats very little, but enough to maintain his condition to appear in court without doctors. She hasn’t stopped her hunger strike, she continues her hunger strike and eats a very, very small amount of food, her food is dairy, just so as not to lose consciousness and to keep her sugar at a sufficient level,” Glinka said.

She clarified that the girl drinks milk, eats cottage cheese, mixtures and sugar. Now, according to Dr. Lisa, Savchenko is in a calm mood.

The head of the Human Rights Council, Mikhail Fedotov, who visited Savchenko with Glinka on Friday, also confirmed that the arrested woman is carrying out an incomplete hunger strike. He added that the girl's health was "equally tense." Savchenko takes a minimum amount of normal food “to survive until the trial” and to be there “on his feet.” “There were certain requests from Nadezhda Savchenko, but they were of a domestic nature. She doesn’t complain about the conditions of detention,” Fedotov said.

Savchenko has been under arrest in Russia since July 2014. She will remain in custody until at least May 13. A Ukrainian citizen is accused of complicity in the murder of Russian journalists - VGTRK employees Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin. The Investigative Committee believes that Savchenko was a gunner operator during a mortar attack in the Donbass. The pilot herself denies all accusations. A criminal case has also been opened against Savchenko for illegal border crossing. The pilot claims that she was taken from the territory of Ukraine.

In protest against the charges, Savchenko went on a hunger strike that lasted more than 80 days. On March 5, she suspended it for medical reasons. On March 16, the girl resumed her hunger strike .
