Working companies Stroyindustria-S, engaged in the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, announced a hunger strike with a request to pay off salary debts, Kommersant reports with reference to a statement by one of the protesters.
The hunger strike was announced on Saturday at 8:00 Blagoveshchensky time (2:00 in Moscow). "26 people are starving and about 100 in the strike. We understand that this is not good, but we are already all!" - One of the starving told the publication in a telephone conversation.
On the readiness of workers to start a hunger strike in connection with significant delays when paying wages, one of the builders participating in the construction of the Cosmodrome reported on April 2. However, then the temporarily acting head of the FSUE Dalspetsstroy Yuri Volkodav denied this.
On April 1, it became known that the Prosecutor General’s Office could not get data on the consumption of 16 billion rubles from the funds allocated for the construction of the Cosmodrome from Dalspetsstroy. At the same time, 3.3 billion rubles were spent on paying for loans, 500 million rubles on the construction of a shopping center in Khabarovsk, and about 400 million rubles were cashed through one -day companies.
On March 29, a wolfhound at a meeting with workers and the leadership of the Stroyindustria and Ideal companies agreed on a salary repayment scheme. It is assumed that the money will be primarily received by builders who have the deadline for the shift, after them - those who are working at present, and then workers who left the construction.
Earlier, on March 24, a group of builders stopped working, demanding debt repayment. As the audit conducted by the prosecutor’s office showed, on March 25, 214 of the more than 300 staff of the Stroyindustry, more than 14 million rubles were beneficial for a total of more than 14 million rubles.
On Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin wrote on Twitter that the head of Special Construction Alexander Volosov flew out on the cosmodrome to "remove the problem of salary and negligent subcontractors."
Vostochny cosmodrome has been built in the Amur Region near the village of Uglegorsk since 2012. However, the construction of a new cosmodrome is a great lag, and builders have repeatedly reported on the transfer of planned delivery of objects. The first launch from the new site is scheduled for 2015, and in 2018, manned flights should begin from the new cosmodrome.
