
The ex-deputy of the Ukrainian parliament, the son of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov, Alexei Azarov, was put on the wanted list, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
In the section of the site of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Persons who are hidden from the authorities" published a photo of the Azarov Jr. with personal data and the margin "Measure of restraint: not applied."
Alexei Azarov is suspected of committing a crime under part 3 of article 368-2 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe in especially large sizes). According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he disappeared from the field of view of Ukrainian law enforcement officers on February 20, 2014 in Kharkov.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that it was investigating 28 criminal cases on suspicion of abuse of power and plundering budget funds, ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and other former senior officials.
It was reported that the materials of the investigation are the son of ex-president Alexander Yanukovych, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Azarov, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Klyuyev, NBU chairman Sergey Arbuzov, Minister of Agricultural Policy Nikolai Prusiazhnyuk, Ministers of Justice Alexander Lavrinovich, Elena Lukash and other senior officials.
