In the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, a life raft was found from a drowned trawler

During the air intelligence, the Bi-200 AirMS plane found an orange object similar to an inverted rescue raft in the Okhotsk Sea in the Okhotsk Sea of ​​Search, Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the Far Eastern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergencies.

The coordinates were transferred to the Milky Way ship, which was 21 miles from the alleged raft. "At 15:00 (8:00 Moscow time)," Milky Way "went to the specified area to identify an orange object. The estimated time of the vessel is 4-5 hours," the message said.

The Big Autonomous Trauler "Far East" sank on Thursday night in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk. Of the 132 fishermen (including 54 foreigners), rescuers raised 119 from ice water. Of which 56 were killed, the rest received serious frostbite. The fate of 13 sailors remains unknown, their search continues.

Among the possible causes of the tragedy, the human factor is called: presumably, there was not enough ballast on the trailer, and it tilted, scooping up water when sampling a trawl that weighs about 100 tons.
