The Russian authorities have developed the program "Patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation for 2016-2020." The document is published on the government information portal. He will replace the similar program ending this year, adopted five years ago.

In accordance with the document, by 2020 it is planned to increase the share of "citizens who demonstrate a high level of knowledge of the main events of the history of Russia."
