Putin abolished the round seal for companies
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that eliminates the need for companies to have a round seal. As explained by the state-legal department of the president, the presence of a seal "is a right, not an obligation of business entities."
The President signed the federal law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in Part of Removing the Compulsory Printing of Business Companies”.
- The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law allowing companies to do without a round seal on March 27. Amendments were made to the laws “On Joint Stock Companies”, “On Limited Liability Companies” and “On State Registration of Rights to Real Estate and Transactions Therewith”.
