First time - first grade

On April 1, 2015, our newspaper turned seven years old. Created in 2008 by his editor -in -chief Boris Stern in a slightly spontaneous and almost first -Aprilian way, she continues to work quite seriously . Over the year, who has passed since the previous birthday , our “first -grader” received two awards at once - a special prize of the Enlightener Prize and the “For Fidelity of Science” Award , established by the Ministry of Education and Science. We publish congratulations from friends of our editorial office and invite you to a lecture by members of the Redsovet and the authors of the newspaper, which will be held at the festival of fascinating science on April 25 ( see page 16 ).

Believe that the TRV has turned seven years old is much more difficult than checking if it is true. He (“Option”) became the younger (scientific) brother of Novaya Gazeta and other few publications that can be proud of their “faces with an impressive” compared to the mosquito cloud of the current Russian media. It is clear why he is: TRV is the fruit of the love of science and common sense. There are almost no such fruits in Russia now, since the temporarily defeated widespread lie prefers to science pseudoscience. But the result is clear-real science will sooner or later won obscurantism. This is a scientific fact. So I am proud that I participated in the first issue of the TRV with some kind of first-a joke, and I will be glad if this participation continues.

The Trinity Option is seven years. I sincerely congratulate the expensive edition and wonderful permanent authors on this significant anniversary! TRV is not an ordinary popular science publication, although he copes with this role perfectly. But the main thing is in another: the TRV is a newspaper for scientists dedicated to their work in science and life and defends their interests. I don't know another such newspaper. The TRV manages amazing: the seriousness without pathos and boring, pluralism of opinions with a completely clear socio-political position, a calm tone that never turns into indifference ... You can continue this sheet for a long time.

Such a newspaper as the TRV would be necessary and important at any time and in any country. But now, when on the seventh part of the land of the voice of reason and the diet they sound quieter and deaf, and the cries of obscurantism, xenophobia and simply idiocy, alas, is louder, the work of the TRV is not just important, it is invaluable. This is the same ray of light in the dark kingdom that gives hope. I wish the TRV of a happy second decade of creative maturity, courage and even greater success!
