Railway tariffs for the entire existence of Russian Railways were not indexed properly. This was stated by the head of the railway monopoly Vladimir Yakunin, Interfax reports .
The indexation of tariffs has always been less inflation, the head of the company emphasized. According to him, the only time, at the request of the Russian Railways, the state agreed to "add a little salary to our employees." At the same time, the growth of labor productivity of Russian Railways is much higher than in the whole country, and salaries in the company are being reduced, launched by Yakunin.
Yakunin also expressed dissatisfaction with the current process of the formation of the investment budget in the annual mode and called it "a certain anachronism." He explained that the receipt of funds does not coincide with the practice of project financing. According to the head of Russian Railways, the company is forced to spend its own funds on compensation to contractors, which increases the cost of projects.
In September, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved the indexation of Russian Railways tariffs in 2015 by 10 percent . Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development proposed to increase the tariffs of the state monopoli by 7.5 percent.
The consignors opposed ten percent indexation of tariffs. In their opinion, this will negatively affect the financial situation of enterprises that do not have an alternative to railway transportation. The increase in the cost of railway transportation does not lead to an improvement in their quality - the speed of movement is reduced, the delivery time is violated, experts say.
Earlier, Yakunin sent a letter to Medvedev, which stated that to ensure the financial stability of Russian Railways in 2015, an indexation of tariffs by 10 percent and the earnings of 45 billion rubles were needed.
In December 2014, Medvedev signed a resolution proving the heads of Russian Railways, Rosneft, Gazprom and a number of other organizations to disclose information about its income on the websites of companies. In addition, the heads of corporations had to provide "information on income, property and property obligations of their spouse and spouse."
Yakunin and the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin refused to publish income data . The head of the Russian Railways explained this by concern for the safety of the family.
On March 31, Medvedev signed a new resolution, which were allowed not to disclose income to the heads of companies controlled by the state.
After the annexation of Crimea, Yakunin was included in the US sanctions list. The head of Russian Railways is prohibited from entering the country, and its assets in the United States are frozen.
