
In Ukraine, access to the archives of the repressive bodies of the communist totalitarian regime of 1917-1991 is opened. Such a law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, UNIAN reports . For this decision, 261 deputy of 320 registered in the session hall voted.
The government entered the parliament. The law of repressive bodies understands, in particular, the All -Russian Emergency Commission for Combating Counter -Revolution and Sabotage, the All -Ukrainian Emergency Commission for Combating Counterrevolution, Speculation, Sabotage and Official Crimes, NKVD, MGB, Supreme Court of Supreme Court, Supreme Cassation Court, Supreme Cassation Cassation Cassation. Tribunal.
The state guarantees everyone’s right to access the archival information of repressive bodies, the document is noted. The state ensures the digitization of information and takes measures to ensure the search and obtain archival information of repressive bodies stored in the relevant institutions of foreign states.
All these archives are transferred to the Institute of National Memory and declassified.
In January 2009, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentin Nalivaichenko said that by the end of the year the Ukrainian intelligence agencies will fully proclaim the Archive of the KGB of the Ukrainian SSR , opening access to any documents dating back to the period from 1917 to 1991. He promised that the Soviet vulture “secretly” would be removed from all criminal cases and documents related to the Ukrainian liberation movement, in particular, with the rebel army, political repression and the Holodomor of 1932-1933.
However, at that time the archives were never completely open. At the same time, access to the archives of the SBU was much easier than in Russia.
