The media learned about the imminent resignation of the head of North Ossetia

Since 2005, the head of North Ossetia, Taimuraz Mamsurov, will soon resign, two leading Russian publications said at once. With reference to sources in the region, as well as those close to the Kremlin on this on Friday , Kommersant and RBC write. According to Kommersant, Mamsurov is currently waiting for the final decision of the president on this issue.

Mamsurov himself refused to comment on information about his upcoming care.

RBC recalls that the powers of the head of the republic expire in June. But the resignation can take place already in May. Mamsurov worked out the governor of North Ossetia for two terms, and the Constitution of the republic establishes a restriction on the number of deadlines for the governor. However, if desired, it could be circumvented: a bill was introduced into the State Duma, which clearly establishes a restriction in two terms since 2012 - then the law on the return of the governor's elections entered into force. In this regard, the deadlines of the current governors were actually "fucked up".

Kommersant learned that a new appointment is ready for Mamsurov - he can continue to work as a president’s special representative in South Ossetia. The newspaper also recalls that this year the head of North Ossetia did not act with an annual message to regional deputies. He explained this like this: "I can’t puzzle someone and leave."

In the leadership of North Ossetia, they did not talk about the successor of Mamsurov, referring to the fact that the current chapter "had many unfinished things."

The interlocutors of Kommersant, close to the leadership of the region, do not exclude that a number of immigrants from the republic, including those working in Moscow, can apply for this post. Among the possible candidates are a member of the Federation Council from the head of North Ossetia Oleg Hatsaev, the head of the Federal Security Service of the North Caucasus Taimuraz Kaloev, an entrepreneur, ex-head of the Olympstroy state corporation Taimuraz Bolloev and the first deputy director of the Kurchatov Institute, Marat Kambolov.
