In Ufa, nine ambulances continue the hunger strike

In Ufa, one of the fasting employees of the ambulance station stopped the action after the meeting of activists with representatives of the Public Chamber of Bashkiria. This was stated by a member of the hunger strike Irina Silence, Interfax reports.

“Yesterday late in the evening a meeting was held in the Public Chamber of Bashkiria, we finally heard us there. In response to this, one person - a paramedic of the resuscitation brigade - was taken out of the hunger strike today,” silence noted. According to her, at the moment, nine doctors participate in a hunger strike. The state of health of the starving worsens. Silence did not exclude that in the future, a few more people would be bred due to the threat to health from the hunger strike.

"The head of the Ordzhonikidze substation, Svetlana Yusupova, who starves the 27th day, refuses fundamentally, she was again provided with medical assistance in the hospital the night before," silence said. She assesses Yusupova’s condition as critical.

Ambulance officers in Ufa began a hunger strike in mid -March . They achieve compliance with the constitutional and labor rights of employees of the SSMP, termination of discrimination and administrative pressure on employees. Participants in the action also require the resolve of the personnel issue - to fully equip the ambulance teams, restore pediatric and children's resuscitation brigades. Another point of the requirements of the starving is the resignation of the head physician of the station and his deputy. The starving completely refuse to eat, taking only water. At the same time, they will continue to fulfill their duties.

During the hunger strike, the number of its participants reached 13 people. However, earlier three doctors persuaded to terminate the promotion due to health reasons.

On April 4, an ambulance picket took place in Ufa. About 35 people took part in the agreed action. The picket participants demanded to equip the brigades, stop discrimination and administrative pressure on Ufa ambulance staff, and restore pediatric and children's resuscitation brigades in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health. They also turned to the head of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov with a request to take a solution to the issue of personal control.
