In the January version of the Report of the IMF, the IMF has predicted a reduction in GDP by 3% this year and 1% in the following. Inflation in 2015 in Russia will be 18%, in 2016 - 9.8%, the report said.
The forecast for world economic growth for 2016 in the IMF improved, increasing it to 3.8% from 3.7%. The forecast for this indicator for 2015 remained the same - 3.5%.
The forecast for developed economies remained at 2.4% in 2015 and 2016, for the Eurozone the forecast was increased to 1.5% from 1.2% this year, to 1.6% from 1.4% in the following.
The Russian GDP in January-February 2015 decreased by 1.9% compared to the same period last year, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on April 14.
Vnesheconombank (VEB) predicts the drop in Russia's GDP in 2015 by 4.7%, the Ministry of Economic Development believes that this year the Russian economy will decrease by 2.5%.
