The Moscow Chamber of Lawyers saw in Stebenev's actions a violation of professional ethics and considered that he provided legal assistance in an improper way, said member of the chamber Henry Reznik.
Stebnev did not appeal against the decision to arrest the mother of many children, and also argued that "the case was not initiated out of the blue." After changing her lawyer, Davydova was released from the pre-trial detention center, and the criminal case against her was closed.
