Vitishko refused to stop his hunger strike

Krasnodar environmental activist Evgeny Vitishko, sentenced to three years in prison on charges of damaging the fence of Tkachev’s dacha, intends to continue his hunger strike until the process of his release begins. His lawyer Sergei Loktev announced this on April 15.

On April 15, the Kirsanovsky District Court of the Tambov Region granted Vitishko’s petition for release. The draft amnesty in honor of Victory Day, submitted to the State Duma on April 9 by Vladimir Putin, also does not imply the possibility of release for the Kuban environmental activist.
