The leaflets, which were found during a search in the Moscow office of the Open Russia movement, contain calls for extremist activities. A law enforcement source reported this to TASS on Thursday.
“The examination of the leaflets has already been carried out. She showed that they (the leaflets) contained signs containing calls for extremist activities,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The search at Open Russia began at about 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16. Employees of Center “E” stated that they were looking for posters and banners in the office that allegedly contained calls for extremist activities. Investigators suggest that these posters may fall under the elements of a crime under Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities). At the same time, a criminal case has not yet been initiated due to insufficient grounds, and the search is being carried out within the framework provided for by the law “On Operational-Investigative Activities.”
Leaflets and propaganda materials were confiscated from the office, and computers and electronic media were confiscated from Open Russia employees.
TASS writes that the examination allegedly already discovered extremism in the leaflets seized from us. This is bullshit, the leaflets haven’t even been taken out of the office yet.
