Police stopped a protest rally in Sevastopol

The police stopped the rally “against the lawlessness of the local authorities”, which took place on the afternoon of April 15 on Nakhimov Square in Sevastopol, and drew up reports of an administrative offense against its alleged organizers. This is reported by the publication "Crimea. Realities".

The “Defend Sevastopol” movement, which organized the rally, claims that the local authorities were notified about the event, and on the eve of the rally they suddenly refused to coordinate it. When about ten people with flags and posters gathered on Nakhimov Square on April 15, they were approached by police officers who demanded that the "illegal mass event" be stopped.

After the participants of the action refused to disperse, as well as to go into the police car to draw up a protocol on an administrative offense, the police officers detained three people, including movement coordinators Vasily Fedorin and Alexander Karluk, using physical force, and took them to the official car. Fedorin felt unwell, an ambulance was called, which took him to the hospital. The rest of the activists were released after drawing up a protocol on an administrative offense.
