The head of the RPR-Parnas party unit in the Altai Republic, Sergei Mikhailov, who arrived from Gorno-Altaisk in Moscow for a meeting of the party’s political council, was detained at Moscow Domodedovo airport. This was reported by the publication “Listok” founded by him.
According to the publication, in order to identify Mikhailov, police officers checked the passports of all men who arrived on the same flight. Mikhailov was demanded to give written explanations for what purpose he had arrived in Moscow, where he was going to stay, and whether he intended to participate in the “protest on April 19.” Mikhailov refused to explain, citing Article 51 of the Constitution.
At the time of writing, there was no information about whether Mikhailov had been released.
