The Soviet Union is a superpower, where Stalin, the father of the peoples, provided all people with a comfortable worthy life and a carefree calm old age. Finland insidiously attacked the USSR. And extremists ruined the great state ... These are only some of the theses published in the newspaper Steps of History. According to its publishers, every month in at least 200 St. Petersburg schools, as well as in kindergartens, libraries, cultural and leisure centers, a new newspaper number appears. Activists of the Parental All -Russian Resistance (RVS) are working on its maintenance. The organization is closely connected with the Zakrevelevsky political scientist, a fighter with the “orange” revolution Sergey Kurginyan. The RVS is led by his wife - Maria Mamikonyan. In February, social activists received a grant for their “educational” activities - 3 million rubles.

And in early April, at the St. Petersburg school No. 84, the parents of the students accidentally noticed “steps ...” hanging on the wall. The scandal erupted: how did such a newspaper get to school, with whose permission, for what purpose are historical facts that are interpreted?

“I stood against this wall every day, waited for my son, and did not see this newspaper point -blank,” says Tatyana Alexandrova, mother of the second -grader. - I just did not pay attention. Well, hangs and hangs. But then my friend prompted me: "Look what is written!"

The mother of two schoolchildren Olga Ivanova says that she read “Steps of History”:

-The idea is useful-information about the dates. But, when I found out what they write about them ... The history of the USSR is very ambiguous! And we have no right to serve it to children in a fake-haired tone. Already in my school years-in the early 90s-we were taught that everything was not so good and simple. It is unacceptable to return to those slogans and interpretations that do not give knowledge about a real story. Children cannot be submitted one -sidedly, because they perceive it from adults as truth.

The director of school No. 84 Svetlana Tarasova categorically does not agree with the opinion of her parents:

- Parents were indignant to read the newspaper? - the director answered the question with a question. - And what did they see there?

- They did not like the interpretation of history in this newspaper.

- There is no interpretation there. There are only objective facts. Have you read this newspaper yourself?

- I read. I also do not think that such facts are objective and appropriate at school.

- Fine. But you understand that with the permission of the president, this newspaper was placed in general. The competition was announced, and she became the winner and received the Presidential Grant. I have to review the President’s decision in order not to hang this newspaper?

Severe tread of history

Parents took photos of "Step of History." Here are some quotes:

Further, the Soviet-Finnish war was reported as a provocation by Finland; About the collapse of the USSR - as about the plan of extremists. And so on in the same spirit.

The “Steps of History”, as the New Gazeta found out, have been published since 2013. First, they were distributed in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk, now - in many regions of Russia. Publisher - public organization "Parental All -Russian Resistance".

The initiator of the creation of the RVS was the Russian levopatriotic movement “The essence of the time” of Sergei Kurginyan. In 2013, Vladimir Putin and the head of his administration Sergey Ivanov performed at the Constituent Conference of the PHC. The main tasks of the RVS formulates as follows: “Protection of traditional family values”, “The confrontation of juvenile justice”, “The confrontation of the destruction of education”. The project “Steps of History” on the website of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation says: “The newspaper contains a description of the most significant events of Russian, Soviet history. Designed for historical, patriotic, cultural education of students. It is distributed in schools, libraries throughout Russia. ”

In February 2015, “Steps ...” received a grant from the Knowledge Society - 3 million rubles. With this money, until September 2015, it is planned to publish 10 thousand copies of the newspaper monthly. As stated on the RVS website, "the support of non -profit non -governmental organizations participating in the development of civil society institutions and implementing socially significant projects was organized in accordance with the presidential decree."

From 2013 to 2015, “Steps of History”, according to their publishers, were issued on personal funds of activists. In 2013, they calculated for the “New” in the St. Petersburg branch of “Parental All -Russian Resistance”, the newspaper was distributed in 50 schools and kindergartens of the northern capital. Today - already in 200 schools and 150 kindergartens, libraries, etc.

Who said: "can"?

Two hundred is an impressive figure (only 650 schools in St. Petersburg). At the same time, the gloomy is shrouded in the path along which the newspaper enters the children. The City Committee on Education took a firm position:

“We did not give any instructions and did not write any letters of recommendation to schools to accommodate these newspapers,” said Larisa Kuzmina, press secretary of the committee. - For everything that is within the walls of the school, the director is primarily responsible for. Its leader is the head of the district department of education, on the territory of which the school is located. And only then - questions to the Committee on Education.

In the education department of the Petrograd district (school No. 84 is located on its territory) also assured that the “steps of history” were put past them:

- We have not seen the steps of history. No newspapers, no recommendations. Without the permission of the Education Committee and the district administration, we do not take any action.

However, the director of school No. 84, Svetlana Tarasova, in an interview with the New Gazeta, insisted: the school has been receiving the newspaper for three years, since 2013, and not on its own initiative, but by decision from above:

- I always received this newspaper in the education department of the Petrograd district, through the library fund. If they want to make me extreme, I am against.

In the Moscow Office of the RVS, they explained in their own way how the newspaper diverges:

“Through parents, pvS activists, they simply bring the newspaper to school,” said Ivan Kapranov, a newcomer-secretary of the organization. - Teachers evaluate the content. They look that there is no political, no information related to the propaganda. Everything is quite balanced. All we write are historical facts. If they contain any assessment, then only the one that Vladimir Putin has ever given.

From word to deed

In the coming days, the Education Committee intends to contact specialists. All the numbers of the “steps of history” that caused a public resonance will be sent for examination. Experts and organizations have already been identified whose conclusion they want to get officials: the All-Russian Association of Teachers of History and Social Studies, the educational and methodical association of history teachers, the expert council of the Academy of post-dyeine pedagogical education, the Russian State Pedagogical University named after Herzen.

- Let's wait for experts. Their conclusion will be a guide to action, - summed up in the committee.

But the deputies of the St. Petersburg Parliament from the Yabloko party Boris Vishnevsky and Alexander Kobrinsky did not wait and on April 10 they asked Vladimir Kirillov, a request to the vice-governor, who oversees the field of education.

“The Steps of History Steps, which deliberately tells students about the exploits of Comrade Stalin and extremists who have destroyed the Soviet Union, inevitably leads to the creation of a distorted idea of ​​history among schoolchildren, the deputies write. - In addition, the point of view declared in the wall newspaper is a political propaganda, the purpose of which is the ideological impact on minors and attracting them to their side, which is directly prohibited by Russian law ... We demand an immediate removal of the propaganda wall newspaper, conducting an audit on the fact of its occurrence and adoption of all possible measures to prevent this overgrown in schools. ”
