Awarded "Golden Masks"

Today, April 18, in the Musical Theater. Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko in Moscow hosted the ceremony of presenting the Russian National Theater Prize "Golden Mask".

The best dramatic performance of a large form is called the “Cherry Orchard” of the Small Drama Theater - the Theater of Europe (Petersburg), the best dramatic performance of a small uniform - “Life for the Tsar” (“Theater Di Capua”, Petersburg). In the nomination “The best work of the director in the drama” the award was awarded to Yuri Butusov (“Three Sisters”, the Lensovet, Petersburg theater).

Ksenia Orlova (“Retribution 12”, the Center for dramaturgy and Directs, Moscow) was awarded for the best female role in the drama, for the best male role - Igor Mirkurbanov, who played Fedor Karamazov in the play “Karamazovs” (Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov).

The laureates of the special awards of the jury of the drama theater and the Puppet Theater were “City Day” (Chamber Theater, Voronezh) and Lavrenty Sorokin for the play “Kreutserov Sonata” (Globus Theater, Novosibirsk). In the competition "Experiment", the award was received by the performance "Peter and Fevronia of the Murom" (Theater "Practice", Moscow).

In the nomination “The best foreign performance shown in Russia in 2014” defeated the “Tartuf” of the Berlin Theater “Shaubune”, at the ceremony awarded to the director Michael Talhaimer.

The “Queen of the Indians” (the Opera and Ballet Theater named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, Perm), who received, in addition, the prize of criticism, was recognized as the best opera production. Also, for this performance, Theodore Krentzis was awarded the “Golden Mask” in the nomination “The best work of the conductor in the opera”, Peter Sellars in the nomination “The best work of the director in the opera”, and Nadezhda Kucher in the nomination “Best Female Role in the Opera”. Dmitry Beloselsky (Don Carlos, Bolshoi Theater, Moscow) was received by the best male role in the opera Golden Mask.

The Golden Mask for the best ballet was awarded the play “Taming the obstacle” (Bolshoi Theater, Moscow), who played in it Vladislav Lantratov and Ekaterina Krysanova received “golden masks” for the best roles in the ballet and modern dance.

In the category “The Work of the Composer in the Musical Theater” (nominees Michael Naiman and Dmitry Courland), the jury decided not to award the prize.

The jury of the jury of the musical theater was awarded Dmitry Hairy, the COLISTS, Choir and orchestra of the New Opera theater for the musical solution of the DIDO opera, the Maryinsky Theater Ballet troupe for the play “Eight women” (Theater-theater, Perm), which also received “Golden Masks” for the work of the artist (Victor Schilc ( costume artist (Irina Belousova).

The Loires of the “Golden Mask” for an outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art were Olga Sedletskaya, Pavel Khomsky, Valentina Naydakova, Isaac Stockbant, Zoya Vinogradova, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Peter Stein, Valery Yakovlev and Maya Plisetskaya.

Actress Daria Moroz and Minister of Culture, Vladimir Medinsky, presented the prizes “For the support of theatrical art of Russia”, was handed to the governor of the Voronezh region Alexei Gordeev and the head of Severstal, Alexei Mordashev.
