
The mayor of the city of Yoshkar-Ola Pavel Plotnikov went missing. The fact that on the eve he did not appear at home, reports RBC with reference to the wife of an official.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Mari El, Plotnikov on Friday went to the Stroitov Street on the outskirts of the city. Since then, nothing is known about his whereabouts.
All external crews of the patrol service, traffic police and non-departmental security are oriented in search of the mayor. Orientations on the missing person are sent to all territorial police departments.
On the eve of the day, the mayor took part in the city subbotnik and held a meeting with the heads of municipal enterprises on the cleaning of the territory.
Last year, Plotnikov became a defendant in a criminal case. Law enforcement agencies suspected that he was the deputy mayor of the city illegally transferred the roads to the municipal enterprise. This did not prevent him from enlisting the support of the deputies of the city assembly, who elected him to the mayor for five years. In February of this year, a criminal case against Plotnikov was closed, the mayor recognized the right to rehabilitation and compensation for harm related to criminal prosecution.
