Two monuments to Lenin were demolished in Kharkov

Two monuments to Lenin were demolished in Kharkov, a regional center in eastern Ukraine, on the night of Saturday. A week ago, during a similar campaign, activists pulled off the monuments to three Soviet figures from the regulations. The Ministry of Internal Affairs considered the action by hooliganism , but the investigators did not manage to prevent a new action.

Like a week earlier, monuments were demolished by young people in camouflage forms with closed faces. A video dismantling video is posted on the Internet. The description indicates that the monuments to Lenin were demolished at the Kharkov Aviation Institute of the National Aerospace University and the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute of the National Technical University.

It is also indicated that "Kharkov activists devoted this action to a single, cathedral and indivisible Ukraine, as well as the memory of the heroes of our independence."

A week earlier, on the night of April 11, monuments were demolished in Kharkov to the Soviet statesman Sergo Ordzhonikidze (near the Tractor Plant), the Russian revolutionary, a participant in the Civil War Nikolai Rudnev (on the same area) and the chairman of the All -Russian Central Executive Committee Yakov Sverdlov (Poltava Shlyakh Street).

The police opened in all three cases the criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
