The Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Nikolai Fedorov can soon leave his post, Interfax reports with reference to several unnamed sources in the authorities. According to one of them, a permutation is expected in the leadership of the department.

According to the interlocutors of the agency, the head of the Ministry of Agency said the governor of the Novgorod Region Sergey Mitin, who was previously deputy minister of agriculture. "Kommersant" writes that among the applicants for the post of head of the department is also the ex-head of the Stavropol Territory Valery Gaevsky, the current deputy Fedorov.

In the Kremlin, these data did not confirm, the press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov refused to comment. According to the press secretary of the Prime Minister Natalia Timakova, “the government’s press service does not have any documents confirming“ Fedorov’s future resignation. The department itself does not have any information about this.

"The removal and appointment of ministers refers to the jurisdiction of the President of the Russian Federation, but we do not have official comments on the Kremlin press service," the assistant minister Nikolai Vasiliev told TASS. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that "at the moment the entire planned schedule of the minister is acting in the near future."

“There are no changes,” Vasiliev emphasized. So, according to him, next week in the schedule of the head of the Ministry there are a report in the State Duma, participation in a government meeting, as well as a trip to Cairo, where a meeting of the Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission will take place. On Friday, April 17, Fedorov was on a working visit to Ufa.

Meanwhile, as Kommersant writes, referring to his own sources, the question of the resignation of the minister has already been resolved. One of the interlocutors of the newspaper claims that the meeting in the capital of Egypt scheduled for April 19-23 was canceled.

In 1990-1993, Fedorov headed the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, after which for 16 years he was president of the Chuvash Republic. He became the Minister of Agriculture in May 2012.

Two sources of TASS in the department explained that recently Fedorov’s hardware positions have weakened due to claims of the country's top leadership to the state of affairs in the industry. Meanwhile, a representative of one of the largest agricultural holdings, whose name is not called, told Kommersant that rumors about the resignation of the minister have been going on the market for three weeks. A few days ago it turned out that Fedorov had the smallest income from all members of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2014 - a little more than 4.7 million rubles.
