Roscosmos reduced expenses for the space program by 16 percent

Roscosmos reduced the cost of the federal space program for 2016-2025 by more than 16 percent, Kommersant reports . In the new FKP project, the costs of it are provided for in the amount of 2.004 trillion rubles instead of the previously planned 2.436.

Two optimization options were considered. According to the first option, it was proposed to maintain in full expenses for space communication, remote sensing of the Earth, fundamental space research, ISS mission and research work. At the same time, the costs of servicing devices in orbit were reduced, the creation of a promising manned transport ship, a super -heavy rocket, lunar base and controls for long -range space.

Another option was accepted: to reduce the number of spacecraft launches and exclude 29 out of 416 design work. It was also decided to refuse to create an OKA-T module for the ISS. At the same time, Roscosmos will develop a medium and heavy-class missiles with a carrying capacity of up to 38 tons, as well as interiorbital tugboats for the piloted flying of the moon in 2025. Instead of developing a super-heavy rocket from scratch, Roscosmos intends to modernize the Angara-A5 complex to the Angara-A5V option, adding a third step.

In the final version, 1.111 trillion rubles will go to space communication, DZ, means of breeding and managing flights. On the manned program, 694.1 billion rubles will be spent on, about 199.3 billion for projects for FCI.

At the same time, Roscosmos expects to make a profit at the level of 1.806 trillion rubles. The implementation of space communications services should be brought by 633.7 billion rubles, piloted flights - 212.6 billion.

On January 27, the Director of the Coordination Center for Transformations of OJSC "The United Rocket and Space Corporation" Grigory Hvorostanov said that in 2015 , financing of the Russian Space industry will be reduced by 10 percent .

The reduction will be carried out at the request of the Government as part of the sequestra of the budget, Hvorostanov noted. According to him, such a decrease in financing "will seriously worsen the economic situation of enterprises." The head of the orcC is afraid that the reduction of the budget will lead to an increase in the credit congestion of enterprises and may jeopardize "the very existence of the industrial basis of space activity."
