The experimental missile launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome collapsed in the Arkhangelsk region, a source in the power structures of the region told TASS.
“During the launch of an experimental solid fuel rocket with measuring equipment from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, the missile left the trajectory and fell in the area of the village of Zabolotye, Kholmogorsky district,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
He added that the fall did not lead to a fire and an explosion. The source gave preliminary data according to which the rocket did not contain dangerous components and added that the total weight of the carrier was 9.6 tons, and the separating part is an empty blank with the equipment for measurement.
In the National Crisis -Crisis Management Center, the Russian Ministry of Emergencies noted that the rocket fuel is not dangerous for human life and health, there were no dangerous components in it.
