“Investments in the project are estimated at at least $ 60 million,” Praktika Development General Director Bulat Shakirov told RBC .
“The capital Soviet building in 1963 of the construction cannot be rebuilt, so it must be demolished,” he explained.
Moskva department store, the first Western Slavic Commercial Center in the USSR, was built in 1958-1963. Until the early 2000s, it was considered the largest universal store in Moscow after Gum and Tsum.
“Its walls from polished glass will miss the flows of light. - At the beginning of construction, wrote Moscow historian Petr Sytin. - A huge hall, which occupies the entire first floor, with an area of about 2000 sq.m, is diverted under the "gastro".
