Moma will show paintings in the Moscow metro

On April 29, copies of paintings from the collection of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) will appear in the exposition of the Watercolor Trainer-Gallery of the Moscow Metro.

We are talking about copies of 30 paintings from the museum collection, TASS art critic, a researcher at MMOM Ekaterina Kuzmina, told.

“The first half of the twentieth century will be represented there - in particular, the work of Natalia Goncharova“ Booty Boys ”, the work of Kazimir Malevich from the Harvest series. If we talk about the second half of the twentieth century, these are the works of Tatyana Nazarenko, Yuri Pavlova, Yuri Zhdanov, Viktor Pivovarov, ”Kuzmina said.

“At our exhibitions, we focus on avant -garde trends, here we wanted to show the diversity of our collection. She explained. - The exhibition in the subway does not allow to give a wide comment, which is often required in contemporary art. In accordance with this, it was important for us to choose works that will speak for themselves. ”

Earlier on the Watercolor train, which runs along the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro, works of art from the meetings of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin’s GMI were demonstrated.
