The incident occurred on the territory of the Dalselmash plant. The police were reported to the local communists about him, who on April 22 came to lay flowers to the monument on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of Lenin's birthday. As it turned out, the bust was destroyed, and the pedestal was partially disassembled.
On the fact of the incident, a check was started.
Later RIA Novosti, citing a representative of the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, reported that the plaster bust, which was made 53 years ago, was destroyed while trying to move it to another place. "It was established that the monument accidentally destroyed the 63 -year -old communist. In October last year, he turned to the leadership of the plant with a request to transfer the monument from the enterprise to another place, since the plaster bust did not have architectural value, he was allowed," the department said. They added that the signs of vandalism in this case were not recorded, there are no grounds for initiating a criminal case.
