Two and a half weeks ago I received a letter from a fitness application by e-mail. I don’t remember what - then I had a lot of them (in the end I stopped at Runmeter ). Although I did not subscribe to this newsletter, the message turned out to be one of the most useful in a long time. “Anton,” said there. “The running season has begun.”

Indeed, in 2015, I laid off for a long time, but after this letter, excuses stopped working. The weather turned from a vile into a tolerable, in the park near the house there was almost snow, and most importantly - I got fat. In general, I was always thin, if not very thin, and when I started to run, my friends each time suggested that I take the bar in my hands instead. Now my decision caused universal approval, which put me at a dead end. It was then that I realized that they did not want to upset me and did not tell the truth that sounds something like this: the metabolism at the age of 25 is not the same as at 20, and you need to keep yourself in order not three months a year, but constantly.

But I forgot to mention another justification: before the start of the running season, I was going to buy Apple Watch. But reviews with Hands-ones (or, if you want, Wrist-on'ami) convinced me. Remembering the radical gap between the iPad of the first and second generations, I decided to wait for next year. This, however, hasn’t prevented me from guarding the beneficial auctions on Ebay in the hope that Haip is not very strong this time. Let the hopes with each broken specimen that extends for $ 257 is melting.

There is only one working justification - dogs, or rather, dog breeders. It's no secret that runners and dogs are natural enemies. And for some reason, the dogs behave more aggressively, the more serene their owners behave. In the past, I, howled and sniffed, sometimes disappeared the desire to run after two days later. Fortunately, I learned to wake up early in the morning, the peak, so it became much easier.

Two weeks ago, after a long break, I ran-and remembered something. In our editorial office they are wary of convinced runners (probably fair), but I will still make a camming out. I really like to run. Running for me is the simplest, natural and effective type of physical activity. It does not require expensive equipment, the help of other people, ennobled territory and subscriptions to the gym pressing on conscience. It is necessary, only so that nothing hurts - and forward, to compete with yourself.

I will say a controversial thing - running even special equipment does not require. Of course, professional runners (and even more - semi -professional) will not agree with me, and they will be right. But this will not convince me, because, no matter what I do, I try to find pleasure in everything, including in the run. I tried to follow the breath, pulse and a bunch of other things, correctly bend my knees and shift the foot. This led to the fact that I quit engaged because it became boring. Out of pleasure, the run turned into a routine, and negative emotions replaced positive.

Now I use the application to calculate the distance and speed. It motivates me well: I see how the average speed slowly grows with each run. Yes, my technique is probably terrible, I do not experience strong loads. So what - but I enjoy. The only really useful thing that I learned is an acceleration running, which, however, is most effective, but is not suitable for beginners.

Our editor Polina Yesakova rightly reasoned that many lovers of a healthy lifestyle replace the actual healthy lifestyle with rituals and rituals. In the same way, they make “professional diets” who, in pursuit of new combinations of products, forget that the main thing is to accompany the diet with loads. Or fitness lovers who are trying to compensate for the fact that they cannot observe discipline, complex sets of exercises, designed rather for models, athletes and bodybuilders. From time to time they fail: they stop practicing, lose their shape, get fat. More than once this happened to me, but I hope I learned at least something and stop mistaken.

Although who knows - maybe the purchase of a second -generation Apple Watch will be a mistake.
