The Estonian officer Kochver was a final charge

The FSB made a final charge to an abducted security police officer Estona Eston Kokhver. This was reported by Interfax with reference to an interview with Evgeny Aksenov, a Kokhver lawyer, given to the BNS agency. The materials of the officer’s case were transferred to the prosecutor to approve the indictment.

In the final version of the prosecution, Cohver is charged with Article 276 of the Criminal Code (espionage), 226.1 (weapons smuggling) and 322 (illegal crossing of the border). According to article 276, the officer threatens from 10 to 20 years in a colony.

Although the case has already been sent to the prosecutor’s office, the arrested and his lawyer has not yet familiarized themselves with the materials. According to Aksenov, familiarization is supposed to be carried out only now.

On the 20th of May, the lawyer added, the Kokhver case can already be transferred to the Pskov where the court will be held.

At the beginning of April, the term of Kochver’s detention in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center was extended until June 5. Then it was reported that the investigation in the case of the officer is in the final stage.

According to the FSB, Kokhver was detained on September 5, 2014 in the Pskov region, when he carried out an intelligence operation. The special service states that with him a gun, equipment for a hidden record and 5 thousand euros were discovered with him.

In Estonia, however, they insist that the FSB abducted Kochver in Estonian territory - near the border post of Luhamaa, where the officer was engaged in the prevention of crime associated with smuggling. The abducted was taken to Russia, threatening the murder, emphasizes the Estonian side.

On September 10, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said that to protect the officer to the country's government , lawyers Mark Feigin and Nikolai Polozov hired . However, a week later it became known that Kokhver refused their services .

On March 20, 2015, it became known that the Russian government suggested that Vladimir Putin notify Estonia for leaving the bilateral agreement on the transfer of persons sentenced to deprivation of liberty.
