The leader of the self -proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitsky denied reports of his arrest or resignation. He said this to the Lugansk information center.
“I am in Lugansk, I am fulfilling my duties,” Plotnitsky assured.
Earlier, the fact that Plotnitsky was detained in Russia was announced by the coordinator of the ATO press center in Kramatorsk Alexander Briginets.
“In Lugansk, they are sure that Plotnitsky is still detained in the Russian Federation and will never return to the Luhansk region. Why? Firstly, instead of taking the gangs that destroy, rape, stealing a“ humanitarian ”. They say that no one has seen it in the Luhansk region, so Plotnitsky was stolen. I was more inclined that it was not there,” wrote the Brgistine.
The most likely candidate for the replacement of Plotnitsky, he called a certain Efremov, probably referring to the former head of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Efremov
“Who will be instead of“ legally chosen ”in the illegal elections of Plotnitsky? The main version: Efremov. None of those who say, which of the influential people has a chance to propping and not to be covered with the positions of the LPR - will not agree. And Efremov, they say, know that his“ junta ”will plant ... there is nothing to lose,” Briginets noted.
Rumors about Plotnitsky’s resignation appeared before. It was claimed that the Kremlin was very dissatisfied with the head of the LPR.
On April 1, in St. Petersburg, the court arrested the former "Minister of Defense" of the LPR Oleg Bugrov . He is suspected of supplying counterfeit pipes for Ust-Luga Oil. Bugrov served the post of "Minister of Defense" of the LPR from the end of summer by 2014. In January 2015, it was resigned, the reason for which could be the participation of Bugrov in the coalition of the opponents of Plotnitsky.
