The memorial board of the memory of Joseph Stalin was installed on Thursday in Ussuriysk, Primorsky Territory. The event was timed to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory, the local Council of Veterans came with the initiative, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly from the Communist Party of the Communist Party Vladimir Bespalov.
“Earlier, the Ussuri Council of Veterans made his proposal to perpetuate the memory of Joseph Stalin and install a memorial plaque. On Thursday, it was installed in a festive atmosphere. A rally and a concert were held at the opening,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
According to him, the board appeared on the building, where the garrison house of everyday life was previously located. Now there is a shopping center. This location is explained by the fact that Leningradskaya Street in the 1950s was called Stalingrad.
The "leader of the peoples" in Ussuriysk himself was not dead. Despite this, there were monuments in the city: one of them stood on Krasnoznamennaya Street, between the church and the city museum. In addition, the paired statues of Lenin and Stalin were located at the entrance to the House of Culture. Chumaka, writes "Russian newspaper" .
At the same time, the city has a monument to the victims of the Stalinist repressions. According to the Memorial human rights center, it was installed in 1993 in the area of the brewery, at the venue of mass executions. Currently, the monument is in a deplorable state.
The situation is no better with the Museum of the History of Political Repression "Perm-36". In early March 2015, it became known that the concept and exposition of Perm-36 will change: all references to repressions and Stalin will disappear . Last summer, the court pursuit of the museum began. In the spring of 2015, checks were held in its funds, after which it became known that Perm-36 was included in the list of “foreign agents”.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the media reported another incident related to the image of Stalin. In the center of Chita, the vandals cut a portrait of the leader, located on Lenin Street in honor of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory, Chita.ru reports. “This morning they called the city hall, said that the portrait was ruined by the vandals and asked to take measures. The vandals were cut with a cross on the portrait. Other banners were hanging nearby - for some reason they were not touched. Two more portraits of Stalin on Bogomyagkov Street were not injured,” one of the store employees told the agency. It also became known that in the near future the city leadership will replace a spoiled portrait with a new one.
Meanwhile, attempts to perpetuate the name of Stalin in Russia do not stop. They have become especially active in anticipation of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory.
The theme of the installation of monuments to Stalin became very popular. In several regions of the Russian Federation, positive decisions have already been made on this subject. We are talking about Lipetsk, Vladimir and Saratov regions, as well as Yakutia.

At the end of last year, the Communists reanimate the idea of installing a Bust of Stalin in Orel . In March 2015, a similar initiative arose in Krasnoyarsk .
