The Twitter account, a parody of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, was not available to users in the Russian Federation. Roskomnadzor decided to block it in connection with a violation of the law on personal data.
The published notice does not say that it was the reason for the blocking. This is only about the fact that the leadership of Twitter received a complaint from the supervisory authority in connection with a violation of the law on personal data.
The fake account was registered under the name Igorsechineviltween ("Evil twin Igor Sechin") in 2011, when Sechin was still deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. The accounts of the account were more than 27 thousand people. False-sech commented the most relevant events in Russia, in the post-Soviet space and in the world, ridicuating the authorities and paying special attention to corruption manifestations. So, for example, in response to the question of why the "night wolves" were torn to Europe, but they abandoned the idea of arranging a motorbike in Russia, he announced the absence of roads in the Russian Federation. On the message about the blocking "The Evil twin" reacted obscene, and then promised: "I'll be back ******".
The representative of Twitter in Russia Alexei Shelestenko, answering the question of journalists and other interested users about the reasons for blocking a parody account, said that, apparently, there was a reaction to the complaint. According to the rules of the microblogging service, parody accounts are allowed, but the use of photos and brands is unacceptable. In this case, the complaint came from the real Sechin or his representatives.
The representative of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky in the commentary of TJournal explained that, most likely, the account was blocked as a fake to the department for the protection of personal data. He did not specify whether the appeal from Igor Sechin himself took place, but he recalled that earlier Roskomnadzor took similar actions against other famous people, including Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and the general director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst. A similar case also occurred with the musician Valery Syutkin, who, with the help of his mother, found that he became the face of an Internet meme. Then the page of the Internet encyclopedia "Lurcomorye" was blocked.
Note, a parody genre is considerable popular with users of microblogists. Fake Twitter accounts are conducted on behalf of both real characters, and animals and even inanimate objects. So, for example, the Fobos-Grunct spacecraft, the unsuccessful launch of which was the subject of a wide discussion, fired a report on Twitter for several months. Judging by the posts on the blog, the mission to study Mars ended with an intrigue with a charming coffee machine on the Chilean coast and capital binge.
The wrong necklace of German Chancellor Angels Merkel started a microblog in September 2013, at the height of the election campaign in Germany. During the year, the original author commented on the main political events of the country and attracted the attention of more than six thousand readers.
But the blog of Peskov’s mustache , a parody of the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, continues to delight the witty statements of his readers. Permanent subscribers of this account are almost 90 thousand people.
The champion among fake accounts in the Cyrillic segment of Twitter, perhaps, should be recognized as the Blog "Perzent Roissa" . He appeared in the summer of 2010 and parody Dmitry Medvedev, but now he is more perceived as an independent character. The number of readers is more than 1.2 million.
Another Surkovrussia blog caused a lot of disputes about whether it is parody or real. Rumors went until Vladislav Surkov himself said in the commentary of Interfax that he had nothing to do with the account and was not at all in social networks, although he reads his double not without pleasure.
Of the popular microblogs of animals, it is worth mentioning the crocodile of Iset , who unknown from nowhere on the shores of the Ural river Iset, and the cat Matrosk , who became famous for eating fish delicacies at the Volgograd Airport. Among corporate accounts, the blocked blogs of Sberbank of Russia and Popchi Roissy, as well as the current MUD Roissy , used the attention and even love of readers.
