In the third book of his unforgettable trips, Lemuel Gulliver talks about a short journey to the island of Glabbbladodrib, whose ruler "possesses the power to call the dead at his desire and force them to serve themselves within twenty -four hours." A visit to the Kremlin, where the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performed with the tour, caused me about the same feeling as Gulliver, the view of the island guard, filled his soul with inexpressible horror.
I have never been to the Kremlin for about one and a half decades; I remember before visitors passed through the decorative Kutafya tower. Now, specially for the entrance, two ugly plastic cubes have been built. And when we shifted from foot to foot, standing in line to one of these "drives", my companion was definitely expressed: we seem to cross the border of another state.
This small country was in unattractive people with eyes, ears and other organs, but almost lost the ability to see, hear and understand. These creatures were more like a zombie, and the state itself was a galvanized corpse of a freak, bashfully hidden among tasteless interiors. During a brief stay in the Kremlin, we were faced with many oddities. Residents of the country clearly preferred roundabout ways. In order to get into the concert hall, it is enough to enter the door, but they were locked, so you had to go down and climb the escalators, not all of which agreed to work. Probably, the residents of the state do not use coffee, but have a large number of coffee cups into which they pour tea, considering, however, the use of a saucer immodest excess. Low dining tables covered with freshly cut tablecloths are not complemented by any seats. The list of eccentricities could be longer, but the visit was too short.
Apparently, a strange freak is crowded in a dwelling surrounded by high walls: he tries to stretch his wandering limbs as far as possible and spraying cadaveric poison. But it has long been known that a stumbling block for Russian tyranny was and is Russian slack, which we are and which we usually manifest and we hope.
In this strange small state, the performance of the famous musical collective - the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra took place. Behind the conductor's remote control was Maestro Riccardo Muti, who offered the orchestras and listeners phenomenally slow, sad and penetrating pace of works.
Perhaps the orchestrants tried to heal the listeners with music, wake the will and mind of the inhabitants of a large country, obeying sorcerers of the Glabb -AvoidDrib?!
In the first branch, the 35th Symphony of Mozart was performed, often called Huffner. This name was bore by the burgomaster of Salzburg, and Mozart composed the symphony in honor of his family celebration. But to a certain joyful family event, only the first part of the symphony is unconditional - in the other three, Mozart thinks more about his own life. These thoughts begin with a sad (andante) second part, the prevailing mood of the author is uncertainty and disorder in life. In the third part, the melody seems to resemble skating alpine resorts, but this is only a symbolic image of a person on life bumps. The result of attempts to defeat life is the recognition of the failure of their own forces. And the melody of the fourth final part of fast, cheerful and carefree, but this merry is fatalistic, the author dreams that his life flashed as soon as possible and brighter, like a rocket in Wilde's fairy tale.
After the intermission, the musicians performed the second Brahms symphony - a melancholy pastoral, in which hopeless thoughts are replaced by dance tunes for a short while, and in the final of the listener there is not a joyful resolution of the problem, but anxiety, reinforced by copper wind instruments. In one of the letters, Brams even jokingly proposed to print the score of the 2nd symphony in a mourning frame.
And the Vienna Philharmonic and Riccardo Muti with a major note began their melancholy concert, performing the overture of the Nabukko opera. Without a doubt, the execution of this fragment on the tour was a programmatic nature, because at the first concert (he was in contemplated earlier in St. Petersburg), the program of which was included in completely different works, the overture sounded as Bis.
Verdi’s opera talks about the Babylonian captivity of the Jews, about the omnipotent ruler of Nebuchadneosor, who arbitrarily punishing and sweet, for the mercy of which the captives manage. Verdi turned to “Nabukko”, first of all, to the fighters for the liberation and unification of Italy, at least under the rule of the insignificant Savoy dynasty. His call was heard and understood, and the choir "Letti, a golden -winged thought!" He became a kind of hymn RIPZHEMENTO.
