Simpsons extended for another two seasons

The longest animated series in the history of television, The Simpsons (The Simpsons) will become even longer: the American company Fox announced its intention to rent 27 and 28 seasons.

As a result, the total number of episodes will reach 625, Variety writes, referring to the official message of Fox , in which one of the characters in the series, Homer Simpson, explains the secret of his longevity by eating 200 donuts per day.

The premiere of the series about the life of an American family invented by the animator Matt Graining took place in 1989. Since then, the Simpsons have become the first cartoon to win the Pabodi Prize, received 31 Emmy Awards, Oscar nomination and a star on the Glory Alley in Hollywood.

At the end of the current, 26th season, the number of episodes of Simpsons will exceed 570. For comparison, the next most popular animated series Fox , Gryffin , has just presented his 250th series.
