Sergei Sharov-Delaunay sentenced to 10 days of arrest

Sergei Sharov-Delaunay was sentenced to 10 days in jail on charges of organizing an unauthorized event on Bolotnaya Square. Journalist Anastasia Zotova and researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics Mikhail Lashkevich (also detained on May 6) were called as witnesses. The court also studied Zotova's articles on Moscow-Live.ru and her Twitter posts. Mikhail Lashkevich stated that if Sharov called for people to come to Bolotnaya Street, it was only for single-person pickets, and he did not shout slogans (the protocol says that Sharov-Delaunay shouted “Death to the fascists!”, And also called for shouting slogans: “Shame, freedom for political prisoners ", and "was holding a poster of a political content"). A video of the arrest was shown at the meeting. The protocol also stated that no notice of the rally at Bolotnaya had been given. Sharov objected that he had filed a notice, and when the mayor's office refused, he publicly announced that there would be no rally on Bolotnaya. He also noted that he stood with a picket, not even reaching Bolotnaya Square. Lawyer Ekaterina Goryainova (during the Bolotnaya case she defended Yaroslav Belousov, while Sharov-Delaunay defended Andrei Barabanov) said that the police protocols contradict the materials of the case and themselves. However, this did not convince the judge: the court considered that the testimonies of witnesses were untenable, as they were refuted by police reports.
