Whenever military equipment appears on Red Square, preparing for the next parade, it seems that the story itself falls into despair, watching the nightmare of what is happening. The anniversary of the end of one of the worst wars in the history of mankind turns into a set of bad political and technical jokes. Why didn’t the cannibal from Pyongyan really reach Moscow - was he afraid to leave his subjects unattended or was offended by a misunderstanding of his significance? The terrible tank of Uralvagonzavod or was it taken out from Red Square? Participants in the hostilities in the east of Ukraine will pass along Red Square or limited to units that were not sent to the border of a once fraternal country?

What does all this have to do with victory? Obviously, no. All this is related only to defeat. Because the inability to draw the right conclusions from the results of the massacre, which claimed the lives of millions of people, destroyed the cities, crossed out fate and made several generations hostages of the confrontation, this is a defeat. It is amazing that in Soviet times, people who survived the war were able to conclude on their own. The phrase "if only there was no war", which justified any, even the most crazy, most illogical actions that guaranteed the world of power, was the essence of this conclusion. And the poem Evgeny Yevtushenko, who has become a song with the eternal question "Do Russian wars want?" - His artistic embodiment.

Decades later, when there were not so many survivors of the real, not television, non -cinematic war, it turned out that they wanted. Society no longer resists the militaristic propaganda of the authorities even at the level of survival instinct. Victory in the Second World War is perceived by the Russians who support the existing political regime not as ensuring a strong world, but as the foundation of a revenge that can be provided, if necessary, and a military way. The descendants of the winners, who gave their lives primarily for the peaceful life of their children, turned out to be the heirs of the ideology of the vanquished - German national socialists.

In fact, the essence of the current holiday on Red Square was best transmitted by the Ukrainian director Oles Sanin, who shot a small story about the 97-year-old war veteran, a real hero who dreamed of celebrating his 70th anniversary with his grandson, an officer who elected the profession of the defender of the homeland. The grandson did not live to the anniversary - he died, defending his homeland from Russian invaders. His grandfather stands at the memorial to the fallen heroes alone.

If you think about it, some Russian director could also remove such a plot-only in it would the Grandfather-Vetran mourn the grandson of the vacationer, who was killed in battles for Debaltseve or the Donetsk airport. This is not important. It is important, in the end, not even that one of the dead would be an invader, and the other as a defender of the homeland. First of all, human life and complete indifference to this value from Russian society and the authorities are important. It is this indifference that makes us talk about despair and allows us to talk not about victory, but about defeat.

Yes, about defeat. The Soviet Union, without a doubt, was one of the victorious countries in the Second World War - a war, in which the right to life fought with the right to destruction. Putin Russia, like Hitler Germany, never win this war.
