Alfa Bank intends to file for bankruptcy of Uralvagonzavod

Alfa Bank notified creditors of Uralvagonzavod OJSC (UVZ) of its intention to file for bankruptcy of the company: information is posted in the “Information on Bankruptcy” section in the Kommersant newspaper. “Alfa Bank notifies of its intention to apply to the arbitration court to declare UVZ insolvent (bankrupt),” the statement says.

Alfa Bank is demanding through the court to recover more than 6 billion rubles from Uralvagonzavod. and $39.7 million in debt, a preliminary hearing on the claim in the Moscow Arbitration Court is scheduled for May 27. The co-defendants in the lawsuit are ChTZ-Uraltrak and Technopark Traktorozavodsky.

“The claim is related to the fact that ChTZ-Uraltrak was late on loans from Alfa Bank. This situation is associated with the difficult situation at the enterprise. “Uralvagonzavod acted as a guarantor,” Alexey Zharich, deputy general director of Uralvagonzavod, told TASS.
