Competition program "Kinotavr" was announced

Today, May 12, at a press conference in Moscow, films of the main competition of the XXVI Open Russian Film Festival “Kinotavr”, which will be held from June 7 to June 14 in Sochi, are announced.

According to the "Bulletin of the film distributor" , in total this year, 81 applications were submitted for participation in the main competition, of which 14 full -length feature films were selected:

• "Country Oz", dir. Vasily Sigarev;
• "Salvation", dir. Ivan Vyrypaev;
• "Angels of revolution", dir. Alexey Fedorchenko;
• "14+", dir. Andrey Zaitsev;
• "Seagulls", dir. Ella Curseeva (debut);
• "Pioneers-heroes", dir. Natalia Kudryashova (debut);
• "No comment", dir. Artem Temnikov (debut);
• "Nakhodka", dir. Victor Dement (debut);
• “Guy from our cemetery”, dir. Ilya and Anton Chizhikov (debut);
• "Guest", dir. Denis Rodimin (debut);
• "Rag union", dir. Mikhail Radutsky (debut);
• "Parsley syndrome", dir. Elena Khazanova;
• "About love", dir. Anna Melikyan;
• "Insight", dir. Alexander Cott.

At the opening of the festival, the film “The End of the Beautiful Age” Stanislav Govorukhin will be shown, at the closure - “Green Carriage” by Oleg Asadulin.

The jury of Kinotavr included director Alexei Teacher (chairman), operator Yuri Klimenko, screenwriter Nikolai Kulikov, producer Natalya Mokritskaya, CEO of Karo Prime Minister and Karopatkaya Aleksey Ryazantsev, actor Andrei Smolyakov, actress Olesya Sudzilovskaya and film critic Peter Shepotinnik.

In parallel with the main competition at Kinotavr, a competition of debut full -length projects for participants in the Kinotavr program will be held. A short meter ”, as well as pitching for future film projects.
