The enemies are the law

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law on the legal regime of martial law. This was reported by UNIAN. The document was supported by 254 deputies of 322 registered in the session hall.

In late February, the National Security and Defense Council made the initiative to develop the law. As explained by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Alexander Turchinov, the tasks of ensuring immediate introduction of martial law do not have this document - we are talking about adjusting outdated legislative norms in accordance with new challenges.

According to the law, the decision on the formation of military administrations is made by the President of Ukraine on the proposal of regional administrations or military command. The heads of military administrations are appointed and dismissed by the President at the proposal of the General Staff or the regional administration.

According to "Today.ua", under the regime of martial law, the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada, is impossible.

As the Ukrainian Truth clarifies , military administrations have the right to prohibit peaceful protest actions and the activities of political parties, establish labor service and forcibly alienate private and communal property for the needs of the state.

At the same time, a clause on the seizure of all firearms from the introduction of martial law was excluded from the final edition of the document.
