Published a short list of the Prize "Resonance"

Today, May 13, the names of the authors who were included in the short list of the All -Russian Resonance Prize for young musical critics writing about academic music and the music theater are announced.

120 applications from all over Russia claimed to be about the award in the nomination "Best Critical Text". 15 authors were selected on a long list, four of them left in the short list:

• Ekaterina Klyuchnikova (Moscow);
• Bogdan Korolek (Petersburg);
• Elena Musaleyan (Moscow);
• Yaroslav Timofeev (Moscow, 2 texts).

“There is nothing compromise on our list. - said the chairman of the jury Ekaterina Biryukova . - Of course, there were several more texts that we also liked, but which had to be sacrificed. This is normal, for that and the competition. But in general, I must say, there were almost no disagreements of the jury. ”

“Specially we did not set such a task for ourselves, but we got the maximum genre diversity. The short list included five texts about the opera, ballet, orchestra with a conductor, pianist and musicological book. What is especially valuable to me - the authors know the “kitchen” well, which they write about, but they also know how to make their intra -limbing knowledge interesting to those outside, ”said the jury chairman.

The finalists of the Resonance Award become guests of the Diaghilev festival - 2015 . From May 26 to May 31, they will be able to freely attend all the events of the festival, participate in the educational program and communicate with colleagues. So, in the framework of the educational program, classes and seminars on musical criticism, presentation of relevant educational programs will take place on the site of the festival club.

The names of the three winners in the nomination “The best critical text about academic music and the music theater” will be announced in Perm on May 27 at the award ceremony .

The All -Russian Resonance Prize is the largest project in Russia to support young (not older than 35) musical critics writing about academic music and the music theater. The prize was established by the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater and the Obscura Camera Support Fund.

The reward is awarded in three nominations:

• The best critical text (award I, II and III degree);
• The best media writing about academic music and the music theater;
• Honorary Prize for contribution to the development of theatrical and musical criticism.

Prize winners for the best text and for special merits are awarded with cash prizes. The winners in the “Best Media” nomination receive an invitation to the Diaghilev festival for two editorial members.
