The arrest of the Crimean prisoner Kolchenko was extended until July 16

Judge of the Moscow City Court Andrei Motorin extended until July 16 the arrest of the Crimean prisoner Alexander Kolchenko. At the same time, in a court decision, he is called a citizen of Ukraine. Kolchenko, along with director Oleg Sentsov, is accused of the Crimean terrorist case.

25 -year -old Kolchenko is an activist of the left movement in Crimea. He did not recognize the Russian annexation of the region. On May 16, 2014, the activist was abducted in Simferopol by FSB operatives . Soon he was transported to Moscow and placed in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center, unofficially controlled by the special service.

On May 30, the FSB accused the anti-fascist of belonging to the diversion-terrorist group of the Right Sector . This group, according to the special services, was preparing terrorist attacks in Simferopol, Yalta and Sevastopol, and later - "the destruction of a number of livelihoods, railway bridges, power lines."

On March 31, Kolchenko was charged with the final edition. Only one episode is charged with him - participation in the arson of the United Russia headquarters in Simferopol in April 2014. This episode is qualified under part 2 of Article 205.4 (participation in the terrorist community) and paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (a terrorist attack committed by an organized group). The sanction on the first of these accusations is up to 10 years of the colony, on the second - up to 20 years.

Kolchenko, like Sentsov, does not admit guilt. He confirms his participation in the arson of the headquarters of United Russia, but does not agree with the qualification of these actions on the "terrorist" articles of the Russian Criminal Code. He did not give testimony on Sentsov. Currently, the investigation has been completed, the accused and their protection are getting acquainted with the case file.

In addition to Sentsov and Kolchenko, there were two more defendants in the case - lawyer and photographer Gennady Afanasyev and historian Alexei Chirniy. However, both of them made a deal with the investigation, having stipulated both himself and Sentsov, and their cases were allocated in separate proceedings, examining each in a special order. On December 17, 2014, the Moscow City Court sentenced Afanasyev to 7 years in a maximum regime . On April 21, 2015, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don issued the same sentence to Chirnia .
