A generator for the Serovskaya State District Power Plant sank in the port of Rotterdam

The E4 group belongs to the offshore Eforg Asset Management and is managed by the Ru-COM group. The founder and beneficiary of the group is the Minister of Open Government Mikhail Abyzov. Currently, the Moscow Arbitration Court is considering several claims for the recovery of funds against the E4 group. The largest amount of claims from Alfa Bank is 5.65 billion rubles. and Sberbank - by 2.7 billion rubles. The customer for the construction of the power unit for Serovskaya GRES - OGK-2 - has also already filed lawsuits against E4. Taking into account the current claim, the total amount of OGK-2’s claims against the E4 group has increased to almost 5 billion rubles.

The generator for the 420 MW power unit of the Serovskaya State District Power Plant fell in the port of Rotterdam during an overload and drowned, said Denis Fedorov, head of Gazprom Energoholding. “A frozen block is the main problem; during an overload in the port of Rotterdam, a generator fell and sank, at 420 MW,” Fedorov said. He hopes the company will receive a refund.

The supply of the unit was carried out by the company OJSC "E4-Tsentrenergomontazh" of the E4 engineering group, the general contractor of the construction. In January, work at the Serovskaya GRES was suspended, OJSC OGK-2 was going to refuse cooperation with E4 and in February filed a lawsuit, trying to recover 3.8 billion rubles from E4.

Serovskaya GRES is a thermal power plant located in the city of Serov, Sverdlovsk region. The state district power plant began operation in 1954. Since 2006, it has become a branch of OJSC OGK-2. In March 2010, OGK-2 and E4 Group agreed that E4 Group would build a combined cycle power unit with a capacity of 420 MW at Serovskaya GRES. The total cost of construction was estimated at 17.8 billion rubles, TASS reported.
