Brent rose to $67.24 per barrel

On May 13, world oil prices continue to rise in anticipation of the publication of data on oil reserves in the United States and against the backdrop of a weakening dollar, reports Prime . At 7.05 Moscow time, June Brent futures rose in price by 0.57% to $67.24 per barrel. The price of June futures for WTI oil rose by 0.81% to $61.24 per barrel.

The Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy will publish a weekly report on oil reserves in the country at 17.30 Moscow time on Wednesday. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg expect oil inventories to decline by 250,000 barrels for the week ending May 8. A week earlier, US oil inventories fell by 3.9 million barrels.

According to the Department of Energy, oil production in the United States for the week ending May 1 decreased by 4,000 barrels of oil per day to 9.369 million barrels per day. "We are once again hoping for production levels to fall below 9.3 million barrels per day," Phillip Futures investment analyst Daniel Ang told AFP. He believes that this could change the situation with the glut in the oil market.

The weakening dollar also contributes to rising oil prices. As of 7.10 Moscow time, the dollar index (the exchange rate of the dollar against a basket of six currencies of countries that are the main trading partners of the United States) decreased by 0.12% to 94.45 points.
