“We understand that we need to do much more, and for this, of course, the trust of citizens, trust and support of citizens. Therefore, Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would like to contact you to agree on me to go to early elections in September of this year in order to continue the work that we have identified for ourselves,” said Nazarov. Putin noted that the governor "in general, everything develops very positively," and agreed.

On Wednesday, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Sergey Eroshchenko and the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Ilyukhin were asked to participate in the early elections of the president. On Tuesday, with the same request to Putin, the head of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko. The President of the resignation accepted and appointed all three temporarily acting governors.

On April 16, Putin accepted the early resignation of the governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev , who also wants to go to early elections. Tuleyev heads the region since July 1997. Earlier it was reported that the Kremlin offers the governor honorary conditions of resignation.
