Builders and workers of the East Cosmodrome formed a trade union

Builders and workers of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Uglegorsk of the Amur Region formed their own trade union. It is reported by Amur Pravda. So far, there are 15 members in the trade union; Olga Zaichenko was elected chairman. The organization joined the Federation of Trade Unions of the Amur Region.

In the special construction of Russia, which is the general contractor in the construction of the facility, the builders' union operates, but the eastern workers did not want to join it. As explained by the deputy chairman of the regional Federation of Trade Unions Sergey Kondratyuk, "in addition to special construction, more than 150 subcontracting organizations participate in the work," and "not only builders work there, but also drivers, technical and service personnel."

In March - April 2015, Eastern was in the center of the scandal due to non -payment of salaries to the builders of the cosmodrome. On March 24, workers of one of the subcontracting organizations - Stroyindustry -S - announced a strike, and on April 4 - a hunger strike. To resolve the situation, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin flew out on the object.

After that, two criminal cases were instituted. The first was opened under part 2 of Article 145.1 of the Criminal Code (full non -payment of over 2 months of wage), which provides for up to 3 years of the colony. In this case, the general director of Stroy Industry-S Sergey Terentyev was arrested.

The second case was set under part 4 of Article 160 (assignment or embezzlement on an especially large scale), the sanction of which is up to 10 years of the colony. According to the prosecutor’s office of the region, Stroyindustria-S received an advance of 48 million rubles "for the construction of the construction of the facilities of the cosmodrome", however, the management of the company spent this money "on financial and economic activities not related to the construction of the facilities of the cosmodrome."

At the end of April, FSUE Dalspetsstroy, under the Russian Special Arts, filed to another subcontractor at the construction - the Pacific Mostostroite Company - a claim with a request to return more than 1 billion rubles transferred by the advance for the performance of work, which were never carried out within the established time limits.
