The third stage of the Proton rocket, the upper stage and the satellite "almost completely" burned out in the atmosphere, the press service of Roscosmos reported. So far, the wreckage has not been found, officials said.
At 497 seconds of flight, an abnormal operation of the engines of the third stage of the launch vehicle was recorded. The accident occurred at an altitude of 161 kilometers.

- The Proton rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on the morning of May 16. The launch was broadcast by Roscosmos on its website.
