Former US presidential candidate Mitt Romney lost a charity fight to heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield. Romney gave up in the second round, although Holyfield fell once during the fight, showing that the opponent hit him too hard.
As noted by CNN, in general, in battle, opponents tickled each other rather than beat. Holyfield noted before the fight that Romney was the oldest and smallest opponent with whom he had to fight, nevertheless he promised to “punish” the politician.
The money raised from the battle will be used to purchase equipment for ophthalmologists in poor countries. The organizers expected to receive more than one million dollars.
“It's all very funny,” says Mitt Romney's wife. “He can write about the Iranian nuclear issue and no one reads it. Or maybe enter the ring against Holyfield, and everyone immediately knows about it.
