The court suspended the work of McDonald's at VDNKh

The Ostankinsky District Court has suspended the operation of a McDonald's fast food restaurant located at VDNKh. This was announced by Oksana Belaichuk, senior manager for public relations at McDonald's in Russia.

The reasons why the court decided to temporarily suspend the work of McDonald's at VDNKh, Belaichuk did not specify. At the same time, she stressed that the company did not agree with the court's decision and did not rule out that it would be appealed in the near future.

“The court issued a ruling on the temporary closure of the McDonald's enterprise in Moscow at VDNKh,” said a public relations representative of the fast food chain.

• In August 2014, three Moscow restaurants of the McDonald's chain were closed by a court for 90 days at the request of Rospotrebnadzor, which found violations of sanitary requirements in them. In particular, the work of McDonald's on Pushkinskaya Square, the oldest in Russia, was suspended.
• In addition to the Moscow restaurants of this fast food chain, McDonald's was also suspended in some other cities of Russia due to the identified violations.
• The closure of Russian McDonald's coincided with another aggravation of relations between the Russian Federation and Western countries. Simultaneously with reports of violations identified in McDonald's, the Russian Federation announced an embargo on the import of products from countries that had previously adopted sanctions against Russia. The authorities of the Russian Federation categorically denied the connection between the imposition of countersanctions and the closure of McDonald's restaurants.
