VoitenkoFrom May 21 to 30, the IX International Diaghilev Festival will be held at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater. On the opening day at the festival, world premieres of two works by Dmitry Shostakovich - Orange opera and ballet “conditionally killed” will be held.
The two scores of Shostakovich, who became the musical basis of the performances, were found recently in the archives of the Glinka Museum by the researcher of the creativity of the composer, candidate of art history Olga Digonskaya.
The prologue to the incomplete Orange opera ordered by the Big Theater on the occasion of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the October Revolution, the composer composed on the text of Alexei Tolstoy and Alexander Starchakov in 1932. “Conditionally killed”-numbers for the Leningrad musical-Hall, the only full in 1931 in the form of pop cycle roar, in which young Leonid Utesov and Claudia Shulzhenko shone.
On May 23, in the program of the Diaghilev festival, a concert from the works of Galina Ustilskaya. Sonata for violin and piano (1952), the second (1949) and the fifth (1986) sonatas for piano and a duet for the Scrpic and piano (1964) are performed by violinist of the Patchinsky (Switzerland) and pianist Marcus Khumpling (Austria).
The writings of Leonid Tapatnikov at the evening by the 60th anniversary of the composer will be performed by the author himself, as well as Monica Santoro, Alexei Horbol and the soloists of the Musicaeterna orchestra.
On May 27, the festival will be held at the All -Russian Resonance Prize for young musical critics writing about academic music and the Musical Theater. In the second branch of the evening - the concert of the pianist Anton Batagov and the Musicaeterna orchestra under the direction of Theodore Custezis.
In addition to concerts with the participation of Russian and foreign musicians in the program of the IX International Diaghilev Festival, performances, performances, exhibitions, creative meetings and an international symposium dedicated to the work of Dmitry Shostakovich.
At the closure of the festival on May 30, the festival orchestra will perform “sketches to sunset” and “Fox's journey to the north-west” Leonid Testnikov (poems-Elena Schwartz, soloist-Soprano Venus Gimadieva). In the second branch of the final concert of the festival is the fifth symphony of Mahler.
