And teachers - to create electronic training courses and manage the learning process, including outside the school walls.
The “Remote training system of the Novgorod region” was developed by the Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav the Wise .
The university has already held a training seminar for working with a server for representatives of schools in the region with direct Internet broadcasting for those who could not be present.
At the meeting, they presented a cloud environment specially prepared and deployed for the needs of the regional education system.
“Educational institutions of the region will be able to use the server for training outside the school,” commented Nikolai Kumyshev, the vice -rector is noted by NovGU, the curator of the project. - After which, any teacher will be able to register and contact the personal administrator of the site to start working with the server. And students - register and sign up for the course of interest to them. ”
The new server will replace the "old man" , which is over 8 years old. The server is developed on the modern Moodle 2 technological platform, which allows you to maintain international distance learning standards and conduct it in various forms. Be it presentations, video collections, testing, chats, discussions, knowledge exchange and more.
Moodle - the project of the developers of the Russian company Spirit and Alt Linux are already used in more than 200 countries of the world, recognizing the platform of one of the most sought -after training solutions by Open Souurse.
Teachers, in turn, will be able to independently place training courses, materials, manuals on the server without restrictions on the number and volume of information storage; conduct classes in format to any time with any number of students; Participate in seminars and continuing education courses.
As the NovGU press center was added, in the future, the server will be finalized for the inclusive education system, which provides for special opportunities for distance learning students of disabled people.

The “Distance Learning System of the Novgorod Region” is implemented and jointly financed under the agreement between the Department of Education and Youth Policy of the Novgorod Region, the Education Committee of the Administration of Veliky Novgorod and the Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav the Wise (TsNT).
